When I received an email from one of adidas' lead designers based at the headquarters in Germany, I knew something very cool was going to happen. Being selected as one of six artists to create art for adidas men's Original fall/winter 2017 line to represent a city we lived in was a dream. Portland, Oregon, was selected for me because I had lived there for six years, and it's where my creative roots and design career began.

Adidas guided me with some of my collage art as starting points and a city template that needed to be included in the piece. I selected an original photo I shot of an iconic bridge in Portland and paired it with a graphic treatment of light, which represented how Portland was the beginning of many aspects in my creative life.
